Welcome to Branch Lane Psychotherapy (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions outline how our services are provided and what you can expect when engaging in therapy with our practice. By scheduling or participating in services, you agree to the terms below.

Services Provided

Branch Lane Psychotherapy provides outpatient mental health services to adults, including but not limited to:

  • Individual psychotherapy

  • Trauma-informed therapy

  • Anxiety, depression, and stress support

  • Relationship and life-transition counseling

  • ADHD-informed therapy and emotional regulation work

All services are provided by licensed mental health professionals and are personalized to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.

Therapeutic Relationship

A therapist-client relationship is established only after:

  • Required intake forms are completed

  • Informed consent is signed

  • Services are formally initiated

Information provided on our website or through email does not constitute therapy or create a therapeutic relationship.

Appointments and Cancellations

  • Scheduling: Appointments may be scheduled through our online booking system, email, or phone.

  • Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations may result in a fee equal to the session rate.

  • No-Show Policy: Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice may result in a full session charge, as this time is reserved specifically for you.

Fees, Insurance, and Payment

  • Payment Methods: Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept [e.g., cash, credit cards, insurance payments, etc.].

  • Insurance: Clients are responsible for verifying insurance coverage and paying any co-pays, deductibles, or uncovered amounts.

Confidentiality may be broken only when legally required, including:

Telehealth Services

When therapy is provided via telehealth, we use secure platforms to protect your privacy. Clients are responsible for:

  • Having a private, distraction-free space

  • Reliable internet access

  • Understanding the limits of electronic communication

Telehealth consent is required prior to participation.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Participate honestly and respectfully in the therapeutic process

  • Communicate concerns, questions, or changes in circumstances

  • Take responsibility for their own well-being outside of sessions

  • Inform therapists of any changes to their contact information, health status, or insurance coverage.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and progress varies from person to person.

Therapist Responsibilities

  • Branch Lane Psychotherapy will provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.

  • Our therapists will adhere to ethical standards and maintain professional boundaries.

Limitations of Service

  • Therapy is a collaborative process, and outcomes are not guaranteed.

  • Branch Lane Psychotherapy does not provide emergency or crisis services.If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, visit your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Termination of Services

Either the client or therapist may end therapy at any time.

Branch Lane Psychotherapy may discontinue services if:

  • Therapy is no longer clinically appropriate

  • Policies are repeatedly violated

  • Safety concerns arise

When possible, appropriate referrals will be provided.

  • Branch Lane Psychotherapy is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external websites linked on our site.

Limitation of Liability

Branch Lane Psychotherapy is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Therapy involves personal growth and emotional work, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
